The Boss Lady of Blush Marilen will be embarking on a challenging trek in New Zealand in April to support the Mark Hughes Foundation and its mission to find a cure for brain cancer.

This journey is about more than just the miles I’ll walk. It’s a tribute to my Mum, who I lost 13 years ago to a rare cancer. Her memory has shaped so much of who I am, and the pain of losing her still echoes in my life every single day.

This trek is my way of turning that grief into action—raising funds for a cause that could one day save others from going through the same heartache. Brain or any cancer doesn’t just impact those diagnosed, it affects families, friends, and communities. Every donation brings us one step closer to life-saving breakthroughs, to making a difference, and to honouring the memory of those we've lost.

I have partnered with some very generous businesses in Newcastle to offer an amazing raffle to support this fundraiser. Your support will go directly towards critical research, patient support programs, and other vital resources that MHF provides.
